The mispelling of the vietnamese name ruined the immersion. It's "Huong", 'ou' isn't a vowel combination in vietnamese. I will delete this comment when you fix the error.
Upon reading part one of the short story, the theme of morality is what stands out to me the most particularly through our protagonist, Wyatt.
He works at a printing store where he barely scrapes a few hundred bucks to last him a month. 'A man living paycheck to paycheck has an astonishing amount of time to negotiate with his own mortality,' -he signs a deal with the devil by agreeing to sell dope for a trio of sketchy guys only as an attempt to escape the loop of paycheck to paycheck living.
The use of sensory detail stood out to me too from the description of Pharaoh's smooth-shaven head down to the throbbing manhood of Harry.
